Murcia enjoys a perfect climate with a yearly average of 2,800 hours of sunshine. The region of Murcia has a typical Mediterranean subtropical climate, with only two seasons, Spring and Summer with temperatures near to 18ºC on average.

The Murcia region has 274 km of beautiful coastline, called the Costa Calida and two seas: the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor- a 180km saltwater lagoon with fantastic beaches and clear warm water.

This is an area of outstanding natural beauty, with 19 protected nature reserves, a marine reserve and its own flamingoes! The Murcia region is known as the garden of Europe, as it's climate and naturally fertile land make crops possible all year round.

Murcia´s road, rail and air infrastructure make it a very accessible region. Alicante International Airport is 40 minutes away, while San Javier airport is centrally located in the region (in 2005 Murcia International Airport will open).
